Miele had launched its new DA 6000 W cooker hood, aimed at adding to the sleek look of a modern kitchen without compromising performance. The motorized cooker hood has been designed to be integrated into the wall where it is installed. Its glass and steel construction as well as the touch-sensetive controls on its glass panels give it a minimalist look intended to help it blend in with its surroundings.
When switched on, the canopy lowers and glass panels slide out to capture steam and vapour. When in use, lights at the bottom of the hood and the upper section of the hob automatically switch on. The DA 6000 W features a grease filter saturation indicator and three power settings. Users can also programme the hood to switch from the intensive setting to the regular setting after a set duration. When switched off, the cooker hood raises and fits back into place.
In a nutshell, the DA 6000 W’s is intended to be there when you need it and not there when you don’t, but also to be an attention grabber in the kitchen by not sticking out like a sore thumb. Now in its 111th year, the renowned German manufacturer said it created the DA 6000 W because the increasing demand for cooker hoods which offer high performance but also complement the modern open plan kitchen design. The DA 6000 W won the Red Dot Best of the Best Design Award 2009, a prestigious product award for both design and functionality.
