The newest addition to the eateries at Zion Road is Yujin Izakaya, a place that welcomes and embraces everyone into their space. Described as industrial-chic, Yujin Izakaya features a bar that beckons oncoming diners with display fridges holding bottles of sake.
With an open kitchen that is the highlight of the room, Yujin Izakaya is the domain of Chef-Owner Freddie Lee, who curates and creates creative bites that take its inspiration from the traditional Japanese izakaya. The vibrant space works as a place for all to relax and unwind, and the food plays a part in letting people enjoy the space: with cold and hot appetisers available such as Nama Yasai – a cold platter of shaved raw asparagus and cauliflower tossed in an umami-rich vinegar-based seaweed dressing; or hot appetisers such as the Truffle Chawanmushi .
Chef Freddie Lee is collaborating with the Les Amis Group to launch Yujin Izakaya. Showcasing his mastery of fine European cuisine, Chef Lee gives rustic, traditional izakaya fare a modern edge, and reflects the vibrancy and fun Yujin Izakaya wants to share with their diners.
