The Academy of Drinks Launches Whiskey Wanders, Where Educational Journeys Are Abound The Academy of Drinks is officially launching its inaugural Whiskey Wander on 12th June 2019, exploring whiskey through educational programs and events in Singapore.

Similar to it’s predecessor Gin Journey, Whiskey Wander will be showcasing a series of experiences ranging from an introduction to the category to in-depth explorations of specific geographies and styles.  Each journey will feature a different knowledgeable industry expert, and guests will be able to meet different brand ambassadors, master distillers and other brand representatives who will join for the experiences from time to time.

Brands involved in this event will include Michter’s (America), Bruichladdich (Scotland), Kavalan (Taiwan) and Teeling (Ireland). Stops along the way will feature classic cocktails alongside neat flights, offering a variety of opportunities to sample the spirit in its many forms. Luxury transportation will be provided from location to location, with the initial participating venues to include Single Cask, MO BAR at the Mandarin Oriental, and La Maison du Whisky.
The Whiskey Wander will take place every Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 9:30 PM, with each experience showcasing three venues, a range of different brands and marques and snacks along the way. Priced at S$128+, The Whiskey Wander kicks off with its “Introduction to Whiskey” experience welcoming guests to learn about the category in general and will eventually expand to offer different routes focused on various whiskey-producing regions and categories.
Spaces are limited to 11 participants per evening, and tickets can be booked via EventBrite at For more information about Academy of Drinks, please visit, or check out @academyofdrinks on Facebook and Instagram.
